Sermon: Taking God's Grace for Granted
When injustice is done toward us by other people, we know that God will vindicate us some day. But when we see calamity befall other people, let us not point our finger at them and claim that they are the worst of sinners, nor dare to claim that God is unjust. Let us search our own hearts and repent. Let us never take God’s grace for granted.

Sermon: Be Reasonable
From 1. Cor. 1:20-25 and 3:18-19 it’s easy to get the impression that God is opposed to human reason. Paul is however not saying that human knowledge is in and of itself worthless. In fact, Paul was one of his time’s most highly educated people. He’s saying that “the wisdom of this world” is foolishness. It’s the kind of wisdom that claims that it can do on its own, independent of God and His revelation that is folly with God. And this worldly wisdom that keeps God and His revealed word, the Bible, completely out ends up in a perverted perception of reality.
We were designed by a reasoning God to be reasoning people. It is in our best interests to use that reason to test the competing truth claims that daily confront us.
